How to Live a Fulfilling Level 10 Life

What matters most to you in your life? Career, family, health, education, romance? How can you live a successful life in all areas that are important to you? 

Follow along and learn how to assess, prioritize and take action steps to unfold the life of your dreams!

Materials needed:

A journal, pen or pencil and writing paper, level 10 graph (see attachment), colored markers or pencils, a block of time (about 2 hours) and a glass of wine or cup of tea.

Below I have listed a link that will give you two PDF files to choose from. One has my 12 categories listed and the other is blank for you to choose your own.

Step One: Sit in a quiet space with your pen and paper. Start thinking about all the areas in your life that are important to you. Make a written list.

I personally have come up with 12 areas. Yours can be any number that feels right for you.

  • Exercise/Fitness
  • Home
  • Income
  • Love
  • Money
  • Family 
  • Social
  • Spiritual
  • Creative
  • Fun
  • Education

Step Two:

Next, think about each category one at a time. Imagine what it would look like if you were performing at a perfect 10 in that category. Give yourself a rating on a scale of 1-10 how you would currently grade yourself in that category. This number is solely a gut feeling.

Step Three:

Now take out your graph and color a bar that matches the number you gave it. This visual can provide a calmness and clarity when you see how you are currently prioritizing your life. There is no judgement.

Step Four:

Consider writing affirmations for each of your categories as if you were already performing at a level 10.

Example: For my health goal my affirmation is “I am slender, toned, healthy, radiant and full of energy.

Step Five:

This is my favorite step. See where you are now compared to where you want to be. What does it look like at level 10? What would you have to do to achieve level 10 status?

With this vision in mind, write a list of steps you could take to be where you want to be.

Step Six:

Time to get out your calendar. Take baby steps. Which action steps do you know you could fit into your schedule this week? This month? Next month?

My current level 10 categories and action steps:

Health-This is my year to get to my goal weight. I just ordered a 3 day raw juice program to help me reset. I will be juicing Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Monday I will be logging into my fitness pal and tracking my calorie intake. My actions steps include, planning my food the day before and getting rid of Christmas candy and cookies still in the house. 

Exercise-I enjoy following Adrienes yoga on you tube. It’s a free program that I enjoy doing daily. I have also started back on a walking program with Lula Mae my 7 year old pup. 

My wife Molly and I will be biking on weekends to build up to 30 miles. Action step-Ride 1 mile this weekend and add a mile each weekend.

Home-I bought the idiots book to organizing. I love to be super organized and to keep a tidy home. I will start  in the living room tomorrow and plan to spend 5 hours a week organizing our home one room at a time.

Income-I am fortunate to have retired a year and a half ago. I have recently sewn dolls with a wardrobe and opened an Etsy store. Lildragonflykisses. (Link) My goal is to manifest income doing what I love. Action step-post my other crochet projects on my Etsy store.

Money-Income is important but what we do with it is another separate category for me. We just bought our dream home this summer. For the most part we are through with contractors and home projects. Time to start savings back up. Action step-30 days logging all purchases.

Family-Take a complete meal over to the kids once a month to help them out. With 3 teenagers their schedules are pretty chaotic. Also once a month family dinners and game nights.

Social-Current action step-contact trainer to complete testing and assessment for Lula Mae to start serving as a therapy dog.

Spiritual-Meditate daily.

Creative-Set aside Fridays to sew and craft.

Fun-Put a family game night on the calendar

Education-Learn Italian- Starting January 31st block time to explore and learn.

Tips and tricks:

That was a lot of work. Take a deep breath and see yourself living the perfect level 10 life.

Make each step doable. If it helps, you can attach a date when you will have your first steps completed.

You can check your progress monthly or quarterly or yearly by printing out a new graph and updating it. I like to review my areas, goals and action steps once a week to see where I am at and what needs tweaking.

In Conclusion:

This is your life! Take time to ponder exactly how you would like to live. There is magic when we start to focus. It can bring a new eagerness and energy into your life when you start materializing the life you were meant to live.
